About Connor

Connor Young is the Broadcast & Media Relations Assistant and an Account Executive for the Lynchburg Hillcats, Single A Affiliate of the Cleveland Guardians. In addition to his full-time work with the Hillcats, Young serves as a fill-in broadcaster for several Liberty University and Longwood University sports broadcasted on ESPN+.

Prior to this past 2025 season, Connor was brought on as a Broadcast Intern for the 2024 season with the Lynchburg Hillcats. Connor was then brought on as a member of the front office staff in the offseason to work with the Sales Team, and has worked his way up from unpaid intern, to full time front office staff through his two seasons with the team.

During the 2024 spring semester, Connor was brought on as a freelance broadcaster for Duke University calling several men's and women's lacrosse games on ESPN+ and ACC Network during that time. During the 2025 Fall Semester, Young was the main play-by-play voice of NCAA Division III Greensboro College handling play-by-play for football, baseball, men's and women's soccer, volleyball, and lacrosse during his time with the Pride.

A graduate of Liberty University, Connor brings past broadcasting experience from his time as an undergraduate student. During his time at Liberty University, Connor was the only current student staffed to serve as a broadcaster for NCAA Division I sports broadcasted on ESPN+. Connor also served as a Sportswriter for the student newspaper, the Liberty Champion, for two years during his time as a student at Liberty.
